Tudor Pro Cycling is thrilled to announce its official entry into gravel racing, further strengthening its commitment to performance and innovation in cycling. With this move, Tudor Pro Cycling positions gravel not as a detour, but as a complementary pillar to its road program—where endurance, adventure, and technical mastery meet.
Spearheading Tudor Pro Cycling’s gravel debut are Swiss riders Simon Pellaud (33) and Jan Stöckli (26). Their presence reflects the team’s ambitions to compete at the highest level on two continents—targeting major events across the American and European gravel scenes, including the iconic Life Time Grand Prix series, Spain’s The Traka and several UCI Gravel Series events. With different backgrounds and experiences, the two riders will form a unique duo at some races but will also be lining up at the start of separate events. At each of them, they will be confronted with the reality of the discipline, in terms of tactics, mechanics, self-management and organization.
“Gravel is more than just a trend—it’s a growing discipline that aligns perfectly with our philosophy,” said Raphael Meyer, CEO of Tudor Pro Cycling. “It’s about grit and pushing limits. By embracing gravel, we’re expanding what it means to be a modern cycling Team and giving an additional layer to our Born To Dare approach.”
While road remains Tudor’s core, gravel offers a fresh frontier: unpredictable terrain, adventure and a unique global community. The Team views it not only as an opportunity for podiums, but also for storytelling and connection.
For Simon Pellaud, it was the right opportunity to race Gravel at the right time: “This new chapter in my career has come at the perfect time. I'm far from being a retired road cyclist, and I prepared for this season in the same way I've prepared for every season in the past. My “Grinta” is intact and I'm here to perform at my best.” As a proof of his great preparation, Simon already rode to victory twice this season, at Trans Cordillera stage race in his adopted country of Colombia, and a week later at the UCI Gravel Series in Brasil.
Discovering new ground is also a great motivation to Jan Stöckli: “I love the sense of adventure and the opportunity to explore new places, and that’s exactly what gravel racing is about. This team isn’t just about racing to win; we want to share our experiences and adventures with others, and that’s what excites me.”
Tudor Pro Cycling will make their first Gravel appearance with Simon Pellaud at the Life Time Grand Prix Sea Otter Classics (USA) on Thursday 10 April 2025.
Jan Stöckli

Jan Stöckli, born on January 8, 1999, in Kanton Bern, Switzerland raced both mountain bikes and road bikes at high-level. Jan wants to seize the unique opportunity offered by Gravel to combine his technical skills with road tactics.
“With my MTB background, I’m confident it gives me an edge in gravel racing. I love the sense of adventure and the opportunity to explore new places, and that’s exactly what gravel racing is about. I know there are some really fast riders out there, so I’ll have to see what’s possible, but I’m definitely motivated to give it my all. I’m ready for the challenge and will put everything into it.”

Simon Pellaud

Simon Pellaud, born on November 6, 1992, in Martigny, Switzerland, was a professional road cyclist for 11 seasons including two with Tudor Pro Cycling (2023 and 2024). A polyglot who speaks five languages, Simon now lives most of the year in Colombia.
“Gravel racing means leaving the stress, pressure and some of the risks of my years on the road behind me and returning to a purer, more traditional form of cycling... to the roots of the sport. By this I mean learning how to prepare for competitions and trips on my own, or how to get out of complicated situations during a race. I'm a nature lover, a mountain man, the son of a lumberjack, and getting on my BMC Kaius to discover new horizons while combining it with the adrenalin of competition is really the perfect combination!”
