Rehabilitation Coordinator (m/f)

Tudor Pro Cycling is a leading professional cycling team competing at the highest level of international cycling. Our team is committed to excellence, both on and off the bike, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Doctor to join our medical staff. This role is crucial to ensuring the health, safety, and peak performance of our riders throughout the racing season.

LOCATION: Sursee, Switzerland

TYPE: Full-time or a minimum of 40 “race days”

START DATE: October 2024 or by arrangement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop rehabilitation strategies, implement, and manage rehabilitation programs tailored to the specific needs of each rider in cooperation with doctors, coaches and nutritionists

  • Treat athletes in modern and fully equipped facilities

  • Ongoing assessment of the rehabilitation progress, documentation and adaptation of treatment

  • Work closely with the head medical staff coaches and support personnel

  • Communication with involved external doctors or specialists, request, complete and manage medical information to ensure best treatment

  • Correspond with riders regularly to monitor their progress and provide updates on their rehabilitation status

  • Educate on injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and self-management practices to promote long-term health and performance.

  • Plan and take care of the logistics related to medical equipment, ensuring all necessary tools and supplies are available and ready for use during training and competitions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications in sports physiotherapy/osteopathy are advantageous

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working as a sports physiotherapist, preferably with elite athletes in endurance sports or professional teams.

  • Deep understanding of the physiological demands of professional cycling and experience in managing cycling-related injuries.

  • Competence in using relevant assessment tools and rehabilitation technologies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • strong organizational skills for managing medical data as well as equipment logistics

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Italian and German is a plus.
